How do you make a perfect blowout?
-
1. Start with slightly damp hair
Dry your hair briefly with a towel or the hair dryer attachment. Moist hair grabs the curl better and holds it longer.
-
2. Divide your hair into sections
Clip up your hair in layers. Start at the bottom and work up. This way you won't miss a tuft and you'll get an even result.
-
3. Protect your hair before you start
Apply a heat protector to each section. Add styling mousse for extra volume, hold and shine that lasts all day.
-
4. Curl section by section
Let the curl get hot well (at least 30-40 seconds) and then cool well on the cold setting (at least 30-40 seconds).
-
5. Finish and fix
Allow your hair to cool completely before going through your hair. Finish optionally with a light hair spray for extra hold.

Still not working the way you want?
This is almost always due to one of these things:
1. Your hair is too wet or dry when styling it
2. Sections are too big so the airflow doesn't get a grip
3. The curl has not been kept hot or cold long enough
4. Practice makes perfect, the technique will pick itself up after a few times
