Styling Tips & Tricks

Everything you need to know for the perfect result

How do I ensure a lasting blowout with the AirStyler?

See below a video by Kyra Steggink. Key tips:

  • Always use good products: shampoo, conditioner, heat protector and volume mousse.
  • Start on towel-dried hair (not soaking wet!).
  • Work in small sections
  • Allow curls/waves to cool completely with the coolshot feature for hold
  • Finish with a light hairspray for extra hold

My blowout collapses after a few hours: what am I doing wrong? This is often due to:

  • Too wet hair when styling (should be towel dry)
  • No coolshot used for fixation
  • Too little volume mousse or styling products
  • Hair not completely dry styled
How do the attachments on my AirStyler work?

1. Blow-dry head For fast drying and straight hair. Direct the airflow section by section on your hair. Ideal for making your hair 80% dry before styling.

2. AirWrap Curling Brushes (L & R) For curls and waves. Hold a section (max 3cm) for 10-15 seconds - the Coanda airflow will automatically pull your hair around the brush. Use both directions alternately for natural results. Fix with coolshot.

3. Thermal Brush For voluminous blowout. Brush from root to tip, turning tips inward or outward. Hold for 5-10 seconds per section and finish with coolshot.

4. Flat Dryer Brush For sleek, straight hair. Brush from root to tip in one smooth motion. Ion technology prevents frizz and gives shiny finish.

5. Diffuser For natural curls. Place your hair in the diffuser near your scalp and move minimally. Dries curls without disturbing them for defined, frizz-free results.

Can I use the AirStyler or AirStraight on wet hair?

Yes, but towel dry is ideal. Dripping wet hair takes too long and can damage your hair from excessive heat exposure.

At what temperature should I style?
  • Fine/damaged hair: Low to medium setting
  • Normal hair: Medium setting
  • Thick/coarse hair: Medium to high setting

Always start lower and increase if necessary: better safe than damaged hair!

What products should I use for best results?

Essential:

  • Heat protector (always!)
  • Volume mousse for body and hold
  • Good shampoo & conditioner for healthy hair

Optional but recommended:

  • Texturizing spray for extra hold
  • Finishing spray for long lasting hold

Should I always use heat protector? Yes, absolutely! Heat protector protects your hair from heat damage up to 230°C and provides better styling results. Spray it on towel-dried hair before use.

ps. we are developing a heat protector tailored to our tools and developed to the highest quality standards.

Which attachment do I use for which look?
  • Sleek & style: Flat hair dryer brush
  • Volume: Thermal brush
  • Curls & waves: AirWrap curling brushes (L+R).
  • Natural curls: Diffuser
  • Quick drying: Hair dryer head

Pro-tip: Always start with the blow dryer head to get your hair 80% dry, then switch to your desired styling attachment for best results!
